Martin ‘Wolfie’ Adams retained his Dutch Open title yesterday (January 31) in Assen.
The Deeping ace beat Danny Noppert from the Netherlands 3-1 in the final of the men’s singles to collect the winner’s cheque for 5,000 euros.
The win made up for the disappointment of crashing out of the world championships in the first round earlier in the month.
The competition attracted over 4,000 players and Adams had to win 11 matches to take the title.
There was also an English win in the ladies singles as Lisa Ashton beat Lorraine Winstanley 5-4.
