Peterborough Town fast bowler Joe Dawborn has been named in the ECB Premier League XI as selected by leading magazine, All Out Cricket.
The ‘All Out Cricket Club Cricket Awards’ are featured in the latest edition of the magzine which is published today (Thursday).
Dawborn fought off competition from cricketers from all over the country to make the select side.
He was helped by one of the best performances in the history of the Northants League when he took 10-22 in a Premier Division victory at Brixworth.
They were the best figures recorded in the competition since 1968 and the best Premier Divisionfigures by a Peterborough Town player since 1978.
Dawborn, who played regular second XI cricket for Leicestershire and Northants last summer as well as Minor Counties cricket with Cambridgeshire, also bagged a hat-trick in a Premier Division match against Finedon at Bretton Gate on his way to 67 top-flight wickets, the most in the competition.
Dawborn (21) features on the front cover of the magazine, the first time it’s been handed over to club cricketers.
All Out Cricket provides content for recreational cricket players throughout the year.
The monthly ‘Clubber and Performance’ sections include coaching, nutrition and fitness tips as well as a round-up of news from around the country.
Dawborn lives in Eaton Socon.
