Charlotte Edwards, who learnt her cricket at Ramsey, will skipper England in a World Twenty/20 Cup semi-final against New Zealand on Thursday.
England finished top of their group by beating Australia, who had also already qualified for the last four, by seven wickets in Galle, Sri Lanka today (October 1).
Edwards made 16 as England passed Australia’s 144-5 with 11 balls to spare. She became the first lady player to register 1500 international Twenty/20 runs at the weekend.
