Oundle tackle East Haddon in the semi-finals of the Northants Twenty/20 Cup at Milton Road tonight (July 28, 6pm).

It’s another favourable draw for the Northants Premier Division side as they have yet to meet a fellow top-flight side in the competition. East Haddon play in Division One.

The other semi-final tonight sees Finedon host fellow Premier Division side Rushton.

The winners will meet in the final at Overstone CC tomorrow (July 29)

Oundle skipper Phil Adams said: “We can definitely win it. Finedon & Rushton obviously have powerful sides, but our record in this format over the last few seasons gives us great confidence going into the semi-finals and final.

“We have a pretty explosive top order with the likes of Petrus Jeftha, Callum Greaves and Zeeshan Manzoor and we have good spin options.”

Oundle are unbeaten in Twenty/20 competition this summer.

The semi-finals and final should have taken place at the Northampton County Ground on Sunday (July 26) but heavy rain caused a postponement.
