Cambs had a disappointing first day in their final Unicorns Championship match against East Division leaders Cumberland at Saffron Walden yesterday (August 16).

Skipper Paul McMahon won the toss and elected to bat first and 42.4 overs later Cambs had been skittled for just 110.

Chris Williams did the bulk of the damage with 8-47.

The only significant contributions came from opener Ben Howgego (30) and number eight Joe Barrs (24).

In reply Cumberland had reached 202-7 by the close - a lead of 92.
