MARCUS Cook claimed a magnificent seven victories as Deepings Swimming Club churned out some impressive numbers at a gala in Biggleswade.

MARCUS Cook claimed a magnificent seven victories as Deepings Swimming Club churned out some impressive numbers at a gala in Biggleswade.Cook won seven of his eight events and came second in the other. He also recorded six midland qualifying times.

In all Deepings recorded 13 age group winners, six second places and two third places. They also registered 41 personal bests and and 10 Midland qualifying times.

Other winners were Chris Barrett in the 200m fly and 200m individual medlay, Tom Lane in the 200m back, Lauren Wray in the 400m individual medlay, Tom Ballam in the 100m back and Emma Catterall in the 100m fly.

And Deepings continued their good form in the Thetford Open where they claimed 32 trophies and 25 personal bests. Nine year-old Jordan Bull won five events.

Oliver Perkins won his event while others to pick up trophies were Dom Gray, Elliot Bull, Jack Ross, Elisha Penman, Samara McKnight, Zoe Fisher, Emma Catterall, Georgia Gray and Emma Catterall.
