Peterborough City Rowing Club siblings Camilla and James Plumb were both winners at the City of Oxford Sprint Regatta on Sunday.
Calm and sunny conditions on the River Isis made for fair racing for all crews.
Camilla’s last event as a junior rower started well with a two-length win over a City of Oxford crew.
A Northamptonshire Hollowell sculler was next to fall by three lengths before Camilla closed her junior rowing career in style, beating her Wallingford opponent to win the Women’s J18 single sculling event.
Older brother James teamed up with Deben rower Katy Wilkinson-Feller in the Mixed Elite double sculls and in the first round they powered past a Falcon club pair to win by five lengths.
The semi-final proved to be more challenging, but Plumb and Wilkinson-Feller still managed to open clear water between their Wallingford opponents to win by a length and two-thirds.
Another Wallingford crew waited for them in the final and Plumb and partner won by a comfortable margin of two and a half lengths.
