Cameron wins a cracker of a match for Deeping
Under 11
Under 11DEEPING picked up their first three points on the road this season against Whittlesey Blue but they had to work hard for their 4-3 win.
Having taken a two-goal lead in this Division One clash with goals from Jack Baxter and Joshua Cameron, the Lincolnshire side seemed well placed before Whittlesey reduced the deficit early in the second half.
A second from Baxter then appeared to have made the game safe before a late surge from Whittlesey saw them level matters to set up something of a grandstand finish.
But having been rocked back, Deeping were soon back on their toes creating chances as they pressed for another which duly arrived when Cameron latched onto a cracking pass from George Hick to settle the match.
Manager Dave Dorward said: "It was a really good game of football for the neutral to watch with plenty of goalmouth action between two good footballing sides.
"We have now managed to pull ourselves into the middle of the league table and with games in hand over the teams above us, we are now hoping to keep our momentum going in the busy run up to Christmas and beyond."
