Barry Fry spent much of Sunday playing down speculation linking Peterborough United players and their manager with moves away from London Road.Newspaper reports suggested that winger George Boyd was a 6 million target of Premier League Spurs, striker Craig Mackail-Smith was a 5 million target for Championship rivals Middlesbrough and that manager Darren Ferguson was in line to replace under-fire Hull manager Phil Brown.
But Fry, the director of football at London Road, said: "I have had no contact from Harry Redknapp about Boyd or Gordon Strachan about Mackail-Smith so there is nothing in those reports.
"And several journalists have asked me about Darren going to Hull which is also nonsense as far as I'm concerned.
"I spoke to Darren yesterday and obviously he is down because of the results, but he is very confident that things will turn around."
According to the Sunday Mirror, Ferguson "was called to a summit with his Peterborough United bosses last night as fears astonishngly grew that he would be sacked."
Chairman Darragh MacAnthony has stated that Ferguson can sell one of his top players and receive a great percentage of the fee to fund the strengthening of the Posh squad.
Scottish giants Celtic were linked with Mackail-Smith when Strachan was the manager at Parkhead.
