Muhammed Khan produced an explosive performance as Peterborough Police BC held their first dinner shsow at a packed Town Hall.

Khan needed just six seconds of the first round to defeat Edan Shorthouse from Corby Olympic ABC.

The Central ward fighter displayed his awesome punching power with a quick-fire success which earned him the sponsors’ choice of best performing winner of the night.

The sell-out event produced an action-packed 12 bouts of competitive amateur boxing which saw Peterborough Police BC fighters claim the lions share of success.

Imran Aref notched up a comfortable points victory against Hamdun Abubakar from Moss Side Fire Station ABC to record his third victory from three outings.

Paston’s Kamil Tarnawski produced a courageous effort to defeat Corey Cochrane from the same Moss Side club while Holbeach’s Danny Coupe returned a points victory against A. Harrison from Camp Detox ABC in Leeds

Artur Tomasevic made it six wins from six bouts with a tough points win over tricky Leeds southpaw Marloangelo Nzilankatha.

Top of the bill was Rich Ellison from Werrington who just lost a split decision to Shaun Simpson from March ABC.

Kasper Kozak from Orton also narrowly missed out on a split decision against Jack Matthews, a tough southpaw from Moss Side Fire Station ABC.

Danny Meins from Dogsthorpe then missed out on a controversial split decision against Sergei Formin from Wisbech ABC.

Two skills bouts saw Imran Shiraz of Bretton take on Patrick Morgan from Trumpington ABC and this was followed by Stevie Winters of Paston against Nathan Bentham from Bracebridge ABC.

Chris Baker, head coach and level 3 coach at Peterborough Police BC, was full of praise for everyone who helped make the evening a success.
