PHIL Prout has unleashed an exciting super-heavyweight prospect onto the local amateur boxing scene.Richie Januszek (23) made his ring debut for Prout's Arena Peterborough School of Boxing at a show in Bury St Edmunds and gave a very impressive performance.
The 16-stone giant came up against G. O'Connor from the Hurstlea Amateur Boxing Club and dominated all three rounds to pick up a unanimous points win.
Trainer Prout said: "He boxed fantastically. He's a very exciting prospect. He trains very hard and does everything asked of him. He will be a really good kid."
In the first round Januszek got through with loads of clubbing right hands that shook O'Connor.
He maintained the pressure in the second round, keeping his opponent at bay on the end of strong, accurate jabs and delivering big left hooks.
O'Connor came more into the fight in the last, but Januszek was still the dominant force.
