THORNEY 5: Peterborough Athletic Club are kings of the road

Peterborough Athletic Club dominated yesterday's (August 14) Thorney 5 road race.

They provided the winner and runner-up and had four other runners finish in the top 10.

Steve Robinson led the way, finishing in 26.01, and second was John Pike in 26.45.

Third place went to Stewart Gregory from Holme Pierrepoint in 27.14 then came three PAC runners. James Whitehead was fourth in 27.46, Shaun Walton was fifth in 27.56 and Daniel Snipe was sixth in 28.09.

The other PAC man to make the top 10 was Steve Hall in ninth place in 29.19.

First lady runner home was Nene Valley Harrier Philippa Taylor in 15th place in 30.11.

There were 157 finishers.
