Vernon won all six of last year’s races in the series but he won’t be repeating his clean sweep as he missed the first race on October 4 at Priory Park. That was won by Anthony Johnson of Werrington Joggers but he wasn’t in the field of 538 runners yesterday.

First female finisher was Rachel Cribbs of Werrington Joggers in 72nd place in 31:21.
