Peterborough AC’s men and ladies will both be at Bedford for the big day in September along with Nene Valley’s men. Only the Nene Valley ladies missed out.

Peterborough AC ladies finished runners-up to Wellingborough, but their passage to the final as a top two finisher in the final standings was never in doubt.

Judith Jagger won four events with her discus throw of 23.14m perhaps the highlight of a busy evening.

Lisa Richardson had three victories to her name, while Wendy Dunn was first in the Over 50 100 and 400m.

Nene Valley only secured one win, but it was an impressive performance as Phillipa Taylor raced her way to the top of the national Over 45 mile rankings with a speedy 5:27.6 clocking.

Nene Valley’s men topped the men’s table ahead of Peterborough AC, and, as usual, their sprinters had a major role to play. Ricky Huskisson comfortably won the Over 50 100m and 400m, while Dave Brown was first in the Over 35 100m in a blistering 51.8.
