Nathan Pickering turned in the best performance when a small band of local athletes attended the South of England AA Under 15 and Under 17 Indoor Championships at Lee Valley.

The Nene Valley Harriers won the silver medal in the Under 15 boys 300m with a new personal best (PB) time of 40.82.

The winner - Jamie Kealey from Crawley - clocked 40.06.

Two Peterborough Athletic Club girls just missed out on medals.

Megan Porter was edged into fourth place on countback in the Under 17 high jump after clearing the same height - 1.50m - as the girl who won the bronze medal, while Harriet Fenton was just five centimetres off a medal placing after finishing fourth in the Under 15 high jump with a new personal best leap of 1.50m.
