East Anglian silver for PACall-rounder

Two all-rounders from local clubs won medals at the East Anglia Schools Combined Events Championships at the Embankment on Saturday.

Lewis Davey from Peterborough Athletic Club finished second in the Under 17 Boys octathlon with a personal best score of 4,165 points while Beth Denial of Nene Valley Harriers won the bronze medal in the Under 20 Women’s heptathlon with 2,933 points, which was also a personal best.

In the Under 17 Women’s pentathlon Ellie Forrest of PAC was ninth with 3,375 points and Paul Naylor of Nene Valley 17th with 2,335 points.

In the Under 15 Girls pentathlon PAC pair Harriet Fenton and Georgia Price were 8th and 10th respectively with totals of 2,506 points (PB) and 2,491 points.

Lewis Davey: 400m - 51.4; 1500m - 4.50.2 (PB); 100m hurdles - 15.2; High Jump - 1.68; Long Jump - 6.20; Shot - 9.32; Discus - 20.94 (PB); Javelin - 27.58 (PB).

Beth Denial: 200m - 29.8; 800m - 2.53.6; 100m hurdles - 18.3; High Jump - 1.38; Long Jump - 4.55; Shot - 7.30; Javelin - 20.97 (PB).

Ellie Forrest: 200m - 28.8; 800m - 2.53.1; 80m hurdles - 15.0; High Jump - 1.49; Shot - 10.28.

Paula Naylor: 200m - 30.4; 800m - 2.44.2; 80m hurdles - 17.5; High Jump - 1.24; Shot - 6.20;

Harriet Fenton: 800m - 2.47.4; 75m hurdles - 13.0 (PB); High Jump - 1.49; Long Jump - 4.32; Shot - 8.83.

Georgia Price: 800m - 2.47.5; 75m hurdles - 12.8; High Jump - 1.58; Long Jump - 4.34; Shot - 6.65.
