Three Peterborough Athletic Club members were celebrating UK Youth Development League success at the weekend (September).

Megan Porter, Jamie Horne and Lordie Bevan were competing for Windsor, Slough, Eton and Hounslow in the final of the National Youth Development League in Birmingham and at the end of the day it was their second claim club who were crowned as national champions.

Horne did especially well, winning the Under 20 B string high jump with 1.90m, while Porter was third in the Under 17 high jump with 1.55m and Bevan fourth in the Under 17 400m hurdles in 62.64.

Horne commented: “It was great to be part of a YDL winning team and it was a superb experience. The YDL provides a great opportunity to test yourself against some of the best athletes in the country, and to have had two other PAC athletes with me throughout the season has made it all the better.”
