Rosie Marshall was a record-breaker when three athletes from Nene Valley Harriers competed at the Birmingham Indoor Games on Saturday.

Marshall ran in the Under 20 ladies 800m and smashed the club record by a whopping six seconds.

Her time of 2:30.83 gave her second place after she led comfortably for the first three laps.

The winner increased her stride over the last couple of laps and Marshall was unable to hang on for the win.

Jasmine Allen ran in the Under 15 girls 200m and her time of 27.69 gave her an overall ninth place.

Allen also competed in the 60m and ran a respectable 8.64s. After a poor start she came through well later in the race.

Max Butler, a new club member, competed in the Under 20 men’s 800m and managed a time of 2:03.04 for second place in his heat and fifth overall.
