Paul Vernon of PACTRAC won the BRJ Duathlon at Abbots Ripton.

It was a three-mile run, a 12.5 mile cycle ride followed by a 1.5 mile run and Vernon broke the course record finishing in 56.39, over three minutes clear of the field.

Vernon was 52 seconds clear after the first run and held on to his lead comfortably.

Clubmates Andrew Champman (21st, 56.29) and Simon Guerin (35th, 72.46) also took part.

PACTRACer Paul Lunn warmed up for his forthcoming half ironman event in Turley by finishing second in over that distance in the New Middle Forest Triathlon.

Lunn covered the 1900m swim in Ellingham Lake, 56 mile cycle through the New Forest and a 13.1 mile off-road run in 4.24.21. He recorded the fastest run of the day with 1.27.55.

Steve Hope won his age group in the Pinewood Triathlon at Sheringham over distances of 300m swim, 11 miles cycle and two-mile run. He finished in 50.43.

Neil Tandy came sixth in half iroman traithon at Hever Castle and Jonathan Oakey came 12th in the youth super-sprint at a triathlon hosted by the Brownlee brothers at Harewood House.
