Peterborough United added another glamorous friendly fixture to their pre-season programme on Wednesday.Sunderland will become the fourth Premier League team to visit London Road this summer when travelling south on Tuesday, August 4.

Steve Bruce's men will follow hot on the heels of Aston Villa (July 18), Tottenham (July 21) and Fulham (July 25).

"I have spoken to Martin O'Neill, Harry Redknapp, Roy Hodgson and Steve Bruce personally and all four of them have assured me they will be bringing their first teams down.

"I know times are hard and supporters probably won't be able to come to all the games, but there is some great variety there and hopefully there is something that appeals to everyone."

Posh were planning a pre-season date against Newcastle until the Toon were relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season.
