A superb 3lb 1½oz perch and a 4lb tench, both taken on pole-fished worm, were added to a net of small rudd and roach taken on the waggler and pinkie.

John Furnell fished a waggler tight to lily pads on the far bank taking 5lb 12½ oz, which gave him the runner-up spot.

Mike Mohan was third with 2lb 11oz .
