It was a real Christmas cracker of a match for the Yaxley and Holme DAA anglers fishing the club’s annual fur and feather event at Raveley Drain.
The venue fished really well again with plenty of fish showing along the match length.
Lionel Whaley took the honours catching close to 350 fish, mainly on waggler and red maggot, for 11lb 7¾oz.
Runner-up was Ivan Marriott with 8lb 10½oz with Mike Mohan third with 7lb 12¾oz.
In the latest round of the Cock Inn Winter League fished on the Four Island Pool at Decoy Lakes, top rod, making it two wins on the trot was Paul Faulkner.
His 58lb 9oz winning weight came from peg six. He caught steadily all day over to the island on the right, feeding small pellets with corn on the hook.
Second place went to Steve Smith with 33lb 7oz from peg five and third was Pete Howson on 29lb 6oz from peg nine.
JVAC fished the Oak and Yew pools at Decoy Lakes in their latest match.
Leading the way on the Yew Pool was Ernie Lowbridge with a fine 119lb 12oz followed by Paul Irons with a level 100lb.
Chris Baldwin topped the field on the Oak with 71lb 3oz.
