He went several hours without a bite, but he was well rewarded for his patience.

Several other waters are also starting to run into form with the likes of East Delph, Northey Park, Railway Lakes and of course Bluebell Lakes all big fish waters worth a visit.

CHARITY MATCH

Peterborough & DAA match organiser Mike Smith will be running a Charity Match on both lakes at Ferry Meadows in aid of Thorpe Hall, Peterborough.

The match is to be held on Saturday May 13 and will be a maximum 80 pegs. So you will need to get in touch with Mike as soon as possible as I am sure it’s going to be a sell-out event.

Closing date for entry is Saturday May 6, so to book your place email [email protected]
