Hampson rules the roost on Kingsland

Despite drawing one of the less fancied pegs, Brian Hampson still managed to win the Cock Inn club match fished on the Kingsland small lake.

He caught some double-figure carp along the way for a winning 89lb 5oz weight caught from peg seven close in on maggot on the pole.

Runner-up from peg four was Steve Smith with 64lb 4oz, and third was Gary Sell from peg one with 62lb 14oz.

The Tuesday Club match at Kingsland small carp lake was a pairs match and the winners were Alan Jopling and Mark Barron with a collective weight of 101lb made up of good-sized carp.

Runners up were Keith Rounding and Mike Smith with 71lb and third Ron Needham and Fred Tame came in third with a total with 49lb 12oz

The Ramsey Angling Club match on Lou’s Lake at Decoy produced some fine weights. Leading the way with 109lb from peg 13 was Keith Rayment fishing a small pellet feeder before switching to the margins with cat meat.

John Price was second on 94lb and Liam Darler third with 94lb 3oz.
