He caught well on maggot and pellet for 58lb 11oz with Peter Telszewski third on 31lb 2oz.
Latest qualifier for the £1,000 grand final at Rookery Waters was Huntingdon rod Tony Dawson.
He won the Saturday open on the Magpie Pool with 88lb 12oz.
Then came Richard Bond, who caught on a Method feeder and maggot down the edge later in the match to weigh in 86lb.
Third was Tom Edwards with 83lb 6oz, followed by Lee Marlow with 80lb 12oz.
The Thursday £1,000 qualifier on Jay Lake saw Andy Leathers out in front.
He put a fine 155lb 10oz to the scales fishing across to the far side on pellet.
Runner-up was Tony Evans on 141lb 12oz followed by Jay Richardson on 108lb 2oz.
