JVAC are regulars to Decoy Lakes and usually if anyone can find a few fish feeding they can.

But yet again it was the weather that took its toll with those fishing the Oak Pool in real trouble. Only a few of the competitors troubled the scales.

Will Hadley was top putting a modest 14lb 4oz to the scales, just three fish all day.

Gus Gausden came second with one fish for a level 7lb.

It was a lot better for those drawn on the Cedar Pool. Dan Abbott took the honours with 42lb 13oz from peg four catching on pellet and sweetcorn.

Not far behind was Andy Gausden, who weighed in 42lb 8oz caught on the long pole with red maggot.

OVER 55s

Those fishing the Over 55s match on the Beastie Pool on Friday found some carp willing to feed.

Will Hadley is in top form right now and catching fish wherever he goes, This match saw him well ahead of the chasing pack taking first place from peg 12 on the Beastie Pool with 62lb 15oz all caught on a maggot feeder.

Runner-up was Mick King with 47lb 13oz, then came Gus Gausden with 31lb 4oz all taken on sweetcorn.
