A new club on the local matchfishing scene are Stanground AC.

Unfortunately the weather wasn’t too kind to them on Sunday but those that did fish on the Horseshoe Pool at Decoy enjoyed some fine sport. Top rod from peg 22 was Josh Smith, who fished a Method feeder tight to the far bank with pellet for 67lb 9oz.

Not too far behind him was Andy Mooney. He fished similar tactics to the winner but chose maggot hook-baits to finish with 60lb 2oz. Then came Sean Smith with 58lb 3oz.

ROOKERY WATERS
