Angling: Best catch at Rutland Water
MORE than 100 anglers, representing 30 companies from across the UK, took part in the eighth annual Anglian Water WaterAid Fly Fishing Challenge at Rutland Water.
MORE than 100 anglers, representing 30 companies from across the UK, took part in the eighth annual Anglian Water WaterAid Fly Fishing Challenge at Rutland Water.They caught an impressive 171 fish weighing in at over 398lb - the best catch of the event since it started in 2002.
The best individual was Adam Brookes of IWS Tipplers with eight fish for 17lb 8oz. The largest fish weighed 4lb 8oz and was landed by Bruce Gardener from IWS Hookers.
The event raised over 2,000 for WaterAid.
In the Anglian Water Floating Line match at Rutland Water, Nick Preston of Market Deeping took first place with seven fish for 20lb.
