BREAKING NEWS 2.15pm: There was great news for Posh fans at today's weekly pre-match press conference.
Manager Darren Ferguson announced that he expected on loan star Gaby Zakuani to sign a three and a half year contract at London Road in the very near future.

The centre-back has not been on the losing side since joining Posh from Fulham in September.

Ferguson said: "Gaby has agreed terms and it's a big signing for the club. There are one or two things to iron out, but he should sign a three and a half year deal soon.

"He is a top class defender who will be able to cope comfortably with football in the Championship which is the aim of us all."

Full story and reaction in Friday's Evening Telegraph.

Spot on. What a crucial signing this could prove to be for the club's aspirations. Does this mean though that he goes back to Fulham at & misses the Leicester & Millwall games?

He will miss the last three games in December as his loan runs out and he cannot sign permanently until the January transfer window opens.

great news ? ive said before the guy is a superb allround central defender pure class ! ... is it possible to extend his loan period for another month so he can play upto transfer window ? but lets not forget chris westwood hes fit now & him & craig morgan together was fine until gabys arrival .. it goes to show the depth of quality fergie is building in the squad.. the team is getting stronger & so is positional cover? ... tricky dicky w/sey

Incredible to think after the 5-4 against Bristol Rovers defence was a real headache, and now we have conceded just 1 goal in last 6 games, and played over 7 hours of league football at London Road since last conceding!!!!
