MORE than 100 trampolining talents were jumping for joy at the Aero Kinetics annual club competition.
Entrants from as young as four years-old lined up at Werrington Sports Centre, some competing for the first time.

Newcomer William Ralfs (6) was the winner of the youngest section in the Starters category with nine year-old Abigail Hinks topping the charts in the bracket for older children.

Christopher Seery, Mia Mercuri and Daniel Hill came out on top in the three Beginner sections while Madeline Wallace (8) and Sarah Fox (13) delivered the best routines of a fine bunch to win in the Novice category.

Top performances from Megan Gooch (8), Lucy Throne (10) and Samantha Pickering (11) gave them the winning places in the three intermediate groups before the top trampolinsists in the Aero Kinetics stable took centre stage in the advanced and elite groups.

Lucy Catling (10) and Leanne Lacey (14) had a slight edge to win their groups in the advanced competition while Matthew Gladders and Adele Haynes took the Elite honours.

Gladders defeated Kimberley Tucker to win group 2 and Haynes took the other elite prize in the younger group by the narrowest of margins, finishing just 0.2 points ahead of Chloe Grieves.

The synchronised event produced some smashming performances with individual rivals Tucker and Gladders combining to give arguably the best display of all. They were victorious in the Elite group after routines delivered with perfect timing.

There were also several children with special needs taking part who all gave fantastic performances.
