Thorpe Wood club dominate annual junior tournament

MORE than 50 juniors took part in the Hereward Sports Teamwear and Trophies Tournament, with players from Thorpe Wood Health and Racquets Club (Esporta) dominating.

Under 16 boys singles
Quarter-finals: Alex Parker (Stamford) beat Cyril Nacano (Orton Longueville) 3-1; Jonathan Anderson (Esporta) beat Matthew Lowe-Laurie 3-2; Oliver Finding (AMVC) beat Simi Pam (Esporta) 3-2; Conor McDonough(Esporta) beat Daniel Fielding 3-2.
Semi-finals: Jonathan Anderson beat Alex Parker 3-2; Conor McDonough beat Oliver finding 3-0.
Final: Conor McDonough beat Jonathan Anderson 4-1.
Under 16 boys doubles
Final: Sam Tyler/Cyril Nancano beat Alex Parker/Anthony Aslam 4-3.
Under 14 boys singles
Quarter-finals: Tom Wilkins (Hampton College) beat Sam White (Esporta) 3-0; Jack Moore (Longthorpe) beat Daniel Wisbey (Huntingdon) 3-2; Henry Fisher (Esporta) beat Sam Darlow (Esporta) 3-1; Chris Pepper (Esporta) beat Saqib Farooq (Esporta) 3-1.
Semi- finals: Jack Moore beat Tom Wilkins 3-1; Chris Pepper beat Henry Fisher 3-1.
Final: Chris Pepper beat Jack Moore 4-2.

Final: Jack Moore/Daniel Wisbey beat Chris Pepper/Henry Fisher 3-2.
Under 12 boys singles
Semi-finals: Alex Lowe-Lauri (Esporta) beat James Ward (Esporta) 3-1; Lewis Tuck (Esporta) beat Sam Anderson (Esporta) 3-2. Final: Lewis Tuck beat Alex Lowe-Lauri 3-2.
