English Premier League: IF Peterborough Phantoms could play every game at the Peterborough Arena they would be enjoying a decent season.
Unfortunately exactly half of their English Premier League fixtures require them to deliver at other rinks, something they don't seem to like doing very much at the moment.

Just one road win in the entire month of November tells it's own sorry sto
ry for a side whose fall from grace has been nothing short of remarkable

The Phantoms class of 2008/09 could rightly be described as one of the best to have graced the EPL after winning the league title, EPL Cup and the play-off crown.

A few months later and pretty much the same team are struggling at the bottom of the table and the reason has much to do with their ongoing travel sickness.

The stark facts are that under coach Doug Irwin Phantoms have won just once away from the Peterborough Arena all season, a woeful return for such a talented group of players.

Last season's top scorers Nathan Rempel and Craig Peacock may no longer be with the club but quality replacements have been found and yet something is still not right.

Just how not right they are was illustrated at the Hangar on Saturday night.

After actually taking the lead through Callum Fowler, Michael Bowman, Ciaran Long and Joe Greener had put Jets 3-1 up before Maris Ziedins pulled Phantoms back into the game. Not too bad then - at least until the start of the third period anyway.

With Stephen Wall out with a back injury, his callow replacement Damian King was given a torrid time as things went pear-shaped with Greener, Blaz Emersic, Slava Koulikov and Peter Jasik ensuring another trip ended in a heavy fall.
