DUMPED Posh striker Danny Crow refuses to be rushed out of London Road.
The 22 year-old claims Posh tried to bounce him into making a quick decision on his future after claiming two other Football League clubs were interested in signing him.

Posh are keen to offload their unwanted players to free up funds to sign their own summer transfer targets.

But Crow, who finished the season on loan at League Two strugglers Notts County, insists he will take as long as he needs to make the biggest decision of his career. He still has a year remaining on his Posh contract.

Crow said: "The manager rang me last week to say that I didn't figure in his plans for the future. I am disappointed, but I don't blame him because it's his decision to make and you can't argue with his record.

"But I think the club wanted me to make a decision quickly and I'm not prepared to do that. My agent tells me there are a couple of clubs interested, but I'm not rushing into anything.

"It's been a frustrating year for me. I was on the transfer list at the end of last season, but worked hard to get back into the squad. I then played about six games and I was out on loan again.

"It's been tough watching Posh win promotion while I've been involved in a relegation battle. I'd love to think that I could still do a job up front for them, but the manager has never really fancied me."

Crow was an instant hit when signing for Posh following his release by Norwich City at the end of the 2004-05 season. He scored 17 goals in his first full season of League football – form that earned him a trial at Watford – and seemed set for a bright future.

Crow also top scored for Posh in the 2006-07 season with 10 goals despite falling out of favour when Darren Ferguson became manager. He scored twice for Posh in the season just finished – he made his last appearance for the club in September.

Crow added: "I always dreamed that I'd be leaving Posh for a Championship club, but that is not going to happen now. I still have confidence in my ability though and I am sure I will get a move somewhere.

"It has to be the right one for me though. If the worst comes to the worst I can stay at Posh for another year."

Posh have said they will listen to offers for Crow, experienced winger Josh Low, full-backs Danny Blanchett and Adam Smith, and goalkeepers Mark Tyler and Shwan Jalal.

Greg from Paston,

So farewell then Danny. He had the potential but not the attitude. If he is stupid enough to stay at London Road and draw a wage knowing he won't be picked, he'll effectively finish his career. Saying that he might do precisely that is a sad indictement on a player who could have gone a lot further in the game if he hadn't have allowed a season of adulation to go to his head. His not-so-secret trial at Watford can't have helped his immature ego.

How can you say "to make the biggest decision of your career" It's not as if AC Milan have come for you..It's quite easy
1) Stay at Posh and not play..
2) Move on to another club and get regular fotball..
