PETERBOROUGH Phantoms have announced that club legend Tim Peacock will complete their coaching line-up for the coming season.
Peacock (pictured left) will be assistant to new coach Colin Patterson - the man who has succeeded trophy-winning Phil David as Phantoms chief.

For the past two seasons Peacock has been coaching at Nottingham, but has been lured back to the club he played for with distinction through the 1980s and 1990s.

Phantoms director Jon Kynaston hailed the appointment of Peacock.

Kynaston said: “Tim is a real legend of the game in Peterborough and has played in some of the club’s biggest matches.

“He has been coaching with Norttingham and I know he turned down a good offer to go back there in order to accept the challenge of coming back to Peterborough.

“Tim knows British hockey inside out and will be a huge asset to the Phantoms coaching team next season.”

Peacock strapped on his skates again earlier this year when taking part in the big Legends game which celebrated 25 years of ice hockey in the city.

He will bring a wealth of knowledge about the British game to his new role.

He is the father of exciting current Phantoms player Craig Peacock.
