YET another fenland water in cracking form is the Old Nene at Ramsey St. Marys.
There are plenty of roach and the odd bonus fish making up weights well into double figures.

In Sunday's Ramsey AS club match Vern Edgley came out on top thanks to a good net of roach taken on pinkie over a little groundbait and a bonus tench to
worm for 13lb 3½oz.

Runner-up Paul Kilby found lots of roach and small skimmers willing to feed and added a decent perch to finish on 11lb 9oz followed by Harry Young on 9lb 10oz.

IT has been a long time coming this season but at long last Webbs AC match organiser Lee Annis has finally picked up a match win.

Fishing the club's last match of the year on Honeysuckle Lake at the Lawn Farm Fishery, the Peterborough rod came out on top with a net of carp and chub taken on the long pole fishing worm and caster for 46lb 15oz. Paul Rayner came in second on 40lb 12oz, fishing pellet to the island, while Nick Carlton came third with 38lb 8oz.

SUNDAY'S Fenland Rods match was on the Elm Pool at Decoy and Mac Campbell fished close in from peg eight to record a match-winning 66lb 12oz, a net of carp taken on pellet. Kev Lee came second on 48lb 8oz followed by Alan Crane with 45lb.

Decoy Lakes Open, Beastie Lake, Tuesday: 1 S. Smith, BCUK, 79lb 14oz; 2 G. Whitwell, Decoy, 37lb 14oz; 3 L. Marlow, Corby, 36lb.
