THE Mohan brothers both set championship best performances when winning at the Lincolnshire Championships at Grantham.
Adam won the Under 15 shot and discus, the latter in a championship best as well as breaking his own Nene Valley Harriers and Bourne Grammar School records.

He received the Lincolnshire City and Colleges Trophy which is presented to the most outstanding individual performance at the Championships.

And brother Robert set a new best and club record to take the Under 20 discus, his fourth successive county title.

Robert, now at Oakham School, was not expecting to be able to compete this season following ankle surgery 12 weeks ago but is recovering well and is able to throw with a basic technique.

Sophie Hallam was awarded the Margaret Fitzgibbon Trophy for her 33.20m to win the Under 20 women’s javelin.

Charlotte Taylor blew the field away to win the Under 15 girls 1,500m in a championship best of 4:53.0 and later won the 800 in a personal best of 2.22.9.

Amelia Susulowsky was another to set a middle-distance championship record in the women’s 3000m while Sam Lawrence set new figures to take the Under 17 men’s 200m. He also won the 100m.

Emma Hornby broke two under 13 girls club records, finishing second in the 70m hurdles and long jump. She also got two other medals with personal best performances in the 100m and 200m (29.3s silver).
