CURRENT FORM: My name is Ed Warrick. I'm 25, and I've been supporting Posh since I was 13. Prior to that, I enjoyed a brief flirtation with Liverpool, attracted by Graeme Souness's free-flowing attacking football, and the silky skills of Istvan Kozma, Neil Ruddock, and Stig Inge Bjornebye.

Then, upon moving to the area, bouyed by Posh's fine start to the 1997/98 season where Jimmy Quinn scored about 400 goals by November, I started going along to London Road. And until the arrival of Darragh, it had all been pretty much downhill fro
m there.

PRE-MATCH: I left my flat in Kensington at about 11am, sardining myself onto the tube, and rendezvoused (that means met up with) my friend Chris at King's Cross prior to heading up to Peterborough.
Beer drinking commenced at midday, and we whiled away the train journey discussing the aftermath of the farcical change of manager, and the jolly good weekend we had in Newcastle, barring a couple of hours on the Saturday afternoon.

HALF-TIME REPORT: The first half was sadly the same story as the rest of the season.
I thought that Posh started pretty brightly and more composed than previous matches, and were containing a Middlesbrough side that had several big-name players.
Nonetheless, true to form, we conceded yet another soft goal, and found ourselves on the back foot.

Atmosphere: The return of over-rated plug-faced defender Sean "Sister Sledge" St. Leger was always going to create a fair amount of noise, and the London Road End wasted no time in letting him know their delight that his participation in the World Cup is going to be exactly the same as mine.
Sledge certainly received a sledging.

FULL-TIME REPORT: One of the better periods this season - George Boyd's goal was well taken after a superb ball from Scott Griffiths, but Middlesbrough's instant reply was sadly all-too-expected... which cannot be said for Shaun Batt's terrific volley to equalise.
Yet again though, I think Posh showed enough going forward to be stay in this division, but we keep on gifting easy goals to the opposition.
Fortunately, as we only gave away one instead of the customary three, we were able to at least get something out of the match.

Swanny's match report: Posh 2, Middlesbrough 2 - Batt blasts Boro boys with late equaliser

MAN-OF-THE-MATCH: I'd say there were quite a few candidates, although I didn't agree with the official verdict of sub-editor's dream Exodus Geoghaghon. Personally, I thought Joe Lewis had a good shout as he made several crucial saves when Middlesbrough might've gone two goals to the good, and I was also pleased with the contribution of the front two and George Boyd.

OVERALL: Our fans lifted the players, but Middlesbrough fans were very disappointing.
For a club with pretentions of establishing themselves in the Premiership, with a relatively easy journey, I was surprised they didn't sell out, and that they were rather quiet.
Having said that, so would I be if I'd just drawn after expecting a handsome away win, and I was returning to Teesside. Incidentally, according to the office of National Statistics, I'm going to live nine years longer than the average Smoggie.

POST-MATCH: Met up with my better half on the train, travelling down from Leeds, and got back around sevenish. Spent my Sunday admiring Anish Kapoor's exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts - it was nearly as exquisite as Shaun Batt's volley.
