HOLCOMBE 2 CITY OF P'BORO 2
City of Peterborough were denied a first victory of the season in National Conference East by a late penalty stroke at Holcombe.
But it was still a fine effort from the city side who faced a team with a fearsome set-piece routine who were fresh from a 4-1 win on the opening day of the season.
The hosts opened the scoring early in the game, but goals from player-coach Kalbir Takher and Joe Finding saw City ahead until the last few minutes.
City now have one point from their opening two matches.
CITY of Peterborough were beaten 3-1 at National Conference South outfit Old Georgians in the opening round of the Hockey Association Cup yesterday.
Joe Finding scored the consolation City goal.
