DARREN Ferguson has revealed that Posh almost signed West Ham youngster Jack Collison earlier this season.
Collison was at Posh as a 10 year-old, but moved to Cambridge United to follow former London Road Academy Director Kit Carson. From there he moved to West Ham.
The 20-year-old had agreed to come on loan to London Road, but a Hammers injury crisis saw the deal scuppered. Collison is now a regular member of the West Ham first-team squad and the Welsh senior squad.
