HUNTINGDON ace Marissa King kept herself in the Olympic reckoning when winning a silver medal in the Slovenian Grand Prix over the weekend.
Huntingdon Olympic Gym Club talent King is in contention for one of the six places in the Great Britain womens' team for Beijing and she did her prospects no harm in Maribor.

King qualified for the vault final in first place and then performed two complex efforts to score 14.075 - enough to take second place behind Jong Hong Lin of North Korea.

Huntingdon clubmate Kayleigh Cooke finished in the top 12 in both the beam and floor. Both have three more qualifying events in which to impress the Olympic selectors.

Local lad Louis Smith heads a four-strong male contingent from the Huntingdon club who will represent Great Britain in the European Championships this month.

Smith (19), Daniel Keatings (18), Luke Folwell (20) and Sam Oldham (14) are the men selected.
