Posh delivered a superb team performance to romp to victory over Huddersfield in League One at London Road.
Aaron Mclean scored twice on his return from injury, while George Boyd and Chris Whelpdale also netted as Posh registered their biggest win of the season.

It took Mclean just 12 minutes to announce his return to centre stage at London Road.

The star Posh striker started his first game since Sepetmber 6, but struck early with a right-foot finish from eight yards after Boyd had set him up.

Boyd added a second in the 24th minute when accepting a neat pass from Charlie Lee and running 50 yards before planting a shot unfder visiting 'keeper Matt Glennon.

Whelpdale planted a firm header from a Boyd cross to make it 3-0 on 55 minutes before Glennon allowed a Mclean shot to slip through him on 64 minutes.

Mclean and Boyd were immediately withdrawn to save them for more difficult battles ahead as Posh coasted home.

Visiting centre-back Chris Lucketti was sent off in the final minute for a professional foul on Craig Mackail-Smith.

Well played Joe Lewis, 2 clean sheets on the trot and a fantastic point blank save from Dickinson in injury time.

Posh were truly dominant today, and while it's fair to say the opposition weren't exactly the best team in the league, we had plenty left in the tank had we needed it. We're in the play-offs now - dare we look any higher....?!!

The best home performance so far.
I hope we can carry this form into the visit to Crewe on Tuesday night and for the next home game v Hereford next Saturday. We should be getting 8,000 for a home game soon if we keep this unbeaten run and the 5-star quality football going. Get yourselves down to London Road next week!

1st half today - brilliant, absolutly brilliant. Its a great time to be a Posh fan. Thank you to everyone involved from Fergie, to Rooster, to Darragh, to Fry, to an exceptinionaly gifted bunch of players, and a special mention for George Boyd.

Come on you Peterborians, forget this Premiership rubbish, we finally have a team to be proud of. Get yourselves down to London Road every week because these young players deserve to be playing infront of 10,000 people every week.

You will have to go a loooooooooooooooong way back to find a prouder time to be Posh.

UP THE POSH

Well done Posh but lets get realistic here. Far too early to start talking about promotion etc. If thye are still top 6 in February yes but it's a long season ahead.

Good performance and now time to keep it rolling with some strong results.
