Not only would victory against one of their biggest rivals cement Town's position at the top of the table, it would also avenge one of the most humiliating scorecards in their recent history.
Town were skittled for 40 in just 21 overs in this fixture last season as Finedon's Minor Counties swing bowler Will Sneath returned astonishing figures of 9-10 from 10 overs.
"That was pretty embarrassing," admitted Town skipper Ajaz Akhtar. "But it was a one-off and I'm sure there's no chance of it happening again.
"To be fair that was a turning point in our season because we played excellent cricket from then until the end of the summer to claim second place behind Finedon.
"And we've carried that form on this season. We're far from having a perfect side, but we are strong in most areas and this game will tell us exactly how good we are."
Town currently top the table by three points from Old Northamptonians with Finedon in third place, 10 points behind the leaders..
Town have top order batsman Cameron Wake back tomorrow. He replaces teenager Alex Mitchell who drops into the seconds for their trip to Stony Stratford in Division Four.
