Peterborough City Rowing Club's Under 15 quad scull narrowly missed out on qualifying for Henley Royal Regatta on Friday.
The crew were up against the top Under 18 crews in the country in the qualifying time trial. Thirty-five crews raced with the top eight being selected to race this week at Henley, and Peterborough's crew despite their young age finished in 10th place.

The recent success of the crew of Sam Tuck, Tom Chung, Ed Rippon and Ollie Salonna has, however, led to them being invited to trials next week to represent Great Britain in the Under 16 Anglo French Championships.

Peterborough will have two juniors racing at Henley this week. James Fox and Adam Niell rowing with youngsters from Nottingham and Leicester in a quad scull avoided having to qualify for the regatta and will race in The Fawley Cup.
