ROWING: City pair James Fox and Adam Neill stormed through the first round of the Fawley Challenge Cup at the world renowned Henley Regatta yesterday.
The Peterborough City Rowing Club members are competing in the quad event for under 19 rowers alongside teenagers from Leicester and Nottingham.

And the boys, who are the number one seeds, breezed through their first round clash with Wallingford Rowing Club in a time of 7.12, four seconds faster than any other crew in the event has managed so far.

But things are getting tougher as, thanks to a quirk of the draw, their quarter-final race today was against Sir William Borlase's Grammar School and Leander Club, the number two ranked crew.

If successful their semi-final is scheduled for this evening with the final due tomorrow.

Jack Hunt pupil Fox (16) and Neill (18) of King’s School are bidding to become the first Peterborough City Club rowers to win a major event at Henley.
