Chebon wins Great Eastern Run

Sunday: WILLIAM Chebon won today's Great Eastern Run in the fastest half-marathon time ever seen in Peterborough.
The Kenyan ace ran 62.57 to win by more than a minute-and-a-half from compatriot Ezekeil Cherop.

Bedford's Jo Wilkinson returned to successfully defend her women's title, smashing her personal best to finish 11th overall out of 2,705 finishers in 72.36.

First local man was Hampton-based Neil Addison in 67.45 and the leading local woman was Stamford Striders veteran Philippa Taylor in 83.03.

The fun run was won by Werrington Jogger Sam Hunt in 13.32.
