'SUPER guest' Brian Andersen delivered a flawless 15-point maximum as patched-up Panthers sent Swindon packing.
The city side were without GP bound big-gun Jason Crump and also missing the injured duo of Anders Nielsen and Mario Jirout.
But bei
ng without three key men didn't prove too big a hurdle to overcome against the Robins as Andersen led the way to glory.
The Dane was a regular Panthers guest booking whenever Crump was absent during this campaign and he rarely disappointed – just as well given that Swindon appeared to smell blood and pushed the hosts to the limit.
Andersen provided the first of his five victories in the opener and a 5-1 in the reserves heat gave the city side the edge.
But that was somewhat surprisingly lost when Ryan Sullivan missed the gate in the third race and could find no way past the visiting duo of John Jorgensen and Steve Masters as parity was restored.
Sullivan was also uncharacteristically beaten in heat five before an Andersen-inspired maximum and a Tesar-triggered advantage swung the pendulum back Panthers' way.
Swindon cranked up the pressure when taking back-to-back advantages in heats 11 and 12 and it was clear this contest was going right down to the wire.
That's exactly what happened but it was Panthers who emerged victorious. Andersen never looked like being beaten and Sullivan's third place ensured a tidy triumph.
