2PM: PETERBOROUGH Panthers have made a dramatic u-turn this afternoon by signing Polish rider Karol Zabik 24 hours after sacking him.
Club promoter Mick Bratley confirmed the club have re-instated Zabik for the remainder of the current season and signed him for 2009.

Zabik was axed yesterday after publicly declaring his intention to join Elite League rivals Poole next season.

Bratley said: "Sometimes in life people deserve a second, or even third, chance and we feel this is the case with Karol.

"While I still feel our course of action over the weekend was the correct one, Karol has now made it clear to the club that he sees his British speedway future to be with Peterborough."

Zabik now rides for the club when they take on Ipswich at the Showground tonight in a crucial meeting.
