SPEEDWAY: Panthers face an anxious week-long wait to discover their Elite League fate.
The city side will be kept on tenterhooks after last night's crucial clash between relegation rivals Belle Vue and Coventry was postponed.

That clash has now been re-scheduled for next Monday in Manchester. Panthers are reliant on former skipper Hans Andersen's Coventry side winning or drawing to keep them out of the bottom two.

Panthers man Kenneth Bjerre top-scored when guesting for Ipswich in their Elite League play-off semi-final defeat at Poole last night.

Bjerre notched 11 points as the Witches went down 59-33. Lakeside beat Swindon 56-33 in the other semi.
