PANTHERS owner Rick Frost has reflected on a 'down and up' season.
No, the Berkshire businessman hasn't got his words in a twist - he is painting a pretty accurate picture of the city side's campaign.
Panthers were in danger of going to the wall until Frost stepped in to succeed Colin Horton as owner during Augus
t. He has since breathed new life into the club and has been hugely impressed by the performances of his team in the final weeks of the Elite League season.
Home victories against all four play-off bound sides - Poole, Lakeside, Swindon and Ipswich - have helped make it a smashing September even if Panthers appear unlikely to escape the relegation zone.
Frost said: "I use the phrase down and up for a very good reason - because that is exactly how our season has gone.
"When I took over things were so bad they could hardly have gone down any further, but since then the improvements have been clear for all to see.
"The riders are racing as a team again, the results recently have been excellent and the spirits of everyone at the club are high.
"And I am confident we can finish off our regular season fixtures on a high by beating Wolverhampton tonight."
