LEVERINGTON have provided the ultimate example of bouncebackability.
Wayne Garner's men recovered from a dire 6-1 drubbing by Parson Drove the previous weekend to triumph at Whittlesey on Saturday.

A late header from Martin Ryan sealed a 2-1 success that left Garner delighted and dumbfounded in equal measure.

He
said: "You tell me how we managed to turn it around.

"I just hope this is the real Leverington, but I guess time will tell.

"I was looking for a response and got it - what made the win even more remarkable was that we didn't have a keeper."

Garner had to press striker Dean Jimson into action between the sticks but that didn't stop the Fenland side coming out on top.

Whittlesey boss Paul Humphries admitted: "We just didn't turn up."

Pinchbeck boss Peter Roberts felt one smashing save stood between his side and a fourth straight victory at Parson Drove.

Drove keeper Adam Wright pulled off a fantastic stop to deny Steve Wells during the stalemate.

Roberts, who has led the Lincs side to a cracking start, said: "I have to make their keeper the man of the match for that one save alone.

"I felt we could have won it but if anyone had offered me 10 points from 12 after four games, I would have snatched their hand off!"
